Well the part where he got away from the Indians - He did so by having a gun pointed at Bale and the rest of them. I didn't find the story preposterous at all personally. To each their own more…

The storyline is ludicrous and unbelievable.

There is no way Crowe's character would just all of a sudden change his mind like that and instantly become a good guy. The whole ending was preposterous.
